Surveillance is a term used to describe the act of monitoring the activity of a person or the activity at a certain location. This is the most common activity that people associate with the work of a private investigator.

  • Stationary surveillance (primarily used to monitor activity at a specific location)
  • Moving surveillance (primarily used to follow a certain subject and note the locations and activities they engage in)
  • In-home surveillance --- commonly referred to as “Nanny Cams” (primarily used to monitor the activities of hired help and/or children at a certain location)
  • GPS bracelet monitoring (can be worn as a watch and used to monitor our elderly, dependant adults, and children)

  • Do you feel that in-home hired help may not be conducting themselves in a manner that you would approve?
  • Do you have an elderly or dependant adult who frequently gets lost?
  • Do you feel that in-home hired help may be involved in illegal activity while in your home?
  • Has someone filed an injury claim against you and you feel that they are being untruthful about the claim?
  • Has an employee filed a worker's compensation claim that you feel is fraudulent?
  • Do you get an overwhelming gut feeling that your spouse is being unfaithful?
  • Are your children going out at night and not returning home?
  • Are your children not attending school and you don't know where they are during the day?

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you may want to consider the use of surveillance. A properly implemented surveillance mission can put a stop to unauthorized fraudulent, prohibited, or illegal activity before it becomes an overwhelming problem.
